NON STERILE SWAB WITH ABSORBENT TIP

Swabs for biological sample collection by direct contact with the patient or for hospital hygiene. Single use product.
Swabs for biological sample collection are medical devices (MD).
The handle of the swab is made of wood, plastic or aluminium, and the tip is made of cotton, polyester or viscose.

Intended use:
Non sterile swabs with absorbent tip are invasive products in terms of body orifices for the application of substances (for example, drugs) and for the collection of biological samples of a patient (for example gynaecological). Swabs for hospital hygiene are both hospital and home used. It can also be used to clean the external ear canal cerumen, apply substances or cosmetical products.

Presentation:
Non sterile swabs for biological sample collection are presented in bags of 100 units, while the swabs for hospital hygiene are presented in bags of 50 units.

General precautions:
1. Not suitable for any other application than its intended use.
2. The use of the swab presents no difficulty for the intended end users.
3. In case of breakage of the packaging, do not use the swab.
4. Discard the product if you find any broken, dirt, chipped, loose tips and/or tipless swab.
5. Do not use if expiry date has been overcome.
6. For single use. The reuse of this product may negatively affect its usability and correct performance.
7. Handle carefully. Any strong pressure during use, although unlikely, could break the swab. In case of damage, discard immediately.
8. After use, the swabs must be treated as contaminated medical waste. Is the responsibility of each laboratory to handle, treat and dispose the waste according to the regulations. Unused swabs can be considered non-hazardous products and can be disposed of accordingly.
