The ECCMID is the European Congress of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. Deltalab attended as an exhibitor in ECCMID 2018 from the 21 to the 24 of April in Madrid in its twenty eighth edition.

Deltalab was at booth 66 receiving customers and stakeholders from the sector. Deltalab have participated in previous editions and this year the result was also successful.

Deltalab generated a interesting number of business contacts in one of the reference points of reference in the microbiology sector worldwide.

Likewise, at the stand the function of some products and devices was shown live to the attendees. In addition, the latest novelties of the catalog were presented.

European Congress of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases

The world’s leading experts joined the most important congress on infectious diseases, infection control and clinical microbiology to present and discuss the latest results.

The Program Committee prepared for the 2018 edition a comprehensive scientific program with keynotes, symposia, workshops and oral sessions.

The European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases is the largest, most complete and influential meeting in the fields of clinical microbiology, infectious diseases and infection control.

Although figures for this edition are not available, up to 12,494 specialists from 127 countries attended ECCMID 2017 in Vienna, the largest number in history. More than 3,000 abstracts were presented at the congress in attractive oral sessions, such as posters or ePosters.

The congress uses the latest technology to present a superior scientific program with posters, oral sessions, symposiums, master conferences, as well as interactive educational formats and a large commercial exhibition.

Specialists from all disciplines in microbiology and infectious diseases were discussing the latest developments and important issues.

There were more than 12,000 participants learning more about ways to fight infectious diseases.

Participants had the opportunity to meet researchers from many parts of the world to discuss methods, results and the impact on clinical and laboratory practice.

As it happened in other editions, the younger professionals had the opportunity to have sessions with experts to discuss their ideas and projects. In addition, there was another edition of the Young Researchers Awards.

 

The next ECCMID already has a location for the year 2019 and will be held in Amsterdam on April 13, 14, 15 and 16.
